My Day At #Pittsburgh’s Kennywood Amusement Park @Kenny_Kangaroo

I received free or discounted tickets for the purpose of this review. All opinions and thoughts are 100% my own. I want to thank Kennywood for making our day very memorable.

Are you lucky enough to have an amusement park in the same city or near the same city that you live in? Ever since I could walk and we would come to visit my Grandmother, We would drive down the hill-1/2 mile away and go to Kennywood. I never realized just how lucky I was. My Mom worked there and that is where she met my Dad. I ended up working there as well on the same stand that she worked in. I considered myself very Blessed to say the least.

The above picture shows the entrance to the park. I love all of the historic aspects of this park. Most of the ride buildings have a rustic look to them. Some are brand new but most are older. There was 10 in my party. Yes, I bought the extra tickets as the grand parents and nieces and nephews just had to go also and I was very glad to do this as a great time was had by all. Due to my disability, My riding was limited but I must say that the rides I did go on were the best.

Kennywood, America’s Favorite Traditional Amusement Park since 1898 continues to delight each and every guest with its 31 major rides! Of the many fun things to do in Pennsylvania with kids, nothing can compare to a day of rides, laughs, and excellent food and drinks at Kennywood. Kennywood is also home to some of the best fun events and attractions near Pittsburgh, PA.

Of course I ate at most of the little food booths along our walks and for lunch we decided to grab a burger at Johnny Rockets. It was one of the best burgers I have had in a long, long time. For dinner, I let them eat where they wanted. One went to Bean Sprouts, The other to Mexican and I just had to have their pizza. Everyone raved about the food but that was short lived as there was a lot more riding and games to be done. The weather man was calling for rain today all week but he kept pushing the time it would start off. The last I heard was it was to start to rain around 5 p.m.. Having it rain at Kennywood is not a game changer as there are still a lot to do such as the indoor games, some of the rides undercover, eating at the cafe or even watching a 4D movie in their theater.

I felt like a kid again. They still had all of the games I used to play as a kid. No matter how many times I visit Kennywood Park there still is so much to learn about the history of it. This is where the train ride is very important to me. It tells you all about the history and there are awesome pictures to capture those moments. It almost made me feel like time was standing still. Next year, I want the whole family to go as most all of them are in the area but a few live in the next state over but I know would love to join us. Getting a discount on any ticket helps to not break the bank. Family means everything and we do not get together enough. There is so much to learn about your heritage and I highly recommend doing this before the elders past on. If you do live in the Pittsburgh are, I highly suggest creating some of your very own memories with your family and you must take pictures to look back on. I know you are going to thank me. My 85 year old Father-In-Law said he was just very happy to watch everyone have a good time. It was time for all of us to head home. Well, at least for my family-The others stayed.
