This is especially true if, for whatever reason, you are not allowed to indulge on them regularly. You may strict rules with regards to eating in bed. It doesn’t hurt to break these rules every now and again, though, especially when that entails treating yourself to a spot of breakfast in bed. Why eat your breakfast downstairs while you wait for the heating to warm up the house when you could do so in your already warm, ultra snuggly duvet? Better still, have somebody else make you breakfast in bed. If they question what makes you so deserving of the honor, tell them you don’t need an excuse to be treated every now and again!
Book a day off work
Being a hard worker doesn’t mean that you have to work 365 days a year, you know. It is more than okay for you to book a day or two off from work, even if it’s for no reason at all. It’s even okay to do nothing whatsoever with your day off — if you want to sit in bed all day and watch Disney movies, scroll through your various social media timelines, message or call your friends, or laugh out loud at outrageous YouTube videos, that’s more than okay!
Buy something you’ve always wanted
Retail therapy is a great way to treat yourself, especially when it involves buying something that you’ve always wanted. As long as you don’t send yourself spiraling into debt as a result of your purchase, the world is your oyster in this regard. Whether it’s a new shade of lipstick, a fresh pair of socks, a new TV, or even a new home — if you can afford what your heart most desires, go out and there and buy it.
Everybody deserves a treat every now and again, and that includes you. Don’t let worries about what other people may do or say or think stop you — if you feel you are in dire need of a treat, reward yourself with it.
