Real Estate Tips in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

When we were looking to buy a house, We had no idea where to start. First we just started looking at houses that were in the paper. This was a wrong move on all accounts. Then we did a lot of research on the subject. First we found an amazing real estate broker. She knew all the ins and outs of the business. We also told her what exactly we were looking for and where we were looking to buy the house. In Pittsburgh which is in Allegheny county,  there are over 95 cities. We chose one in the western end in the county. We had to be preapproved and that is where the mortgage company she worked with came in handy. It was not a bank so the interest was much lower. They even gave us a payment calculator.

You need to know exactly just how much of a house you can afford. For some reason most people think they can afford a house that is way over their price range.  Estimating affordability could not be more important because then you know what your payment will be.

Covid 19 is a big issue that is facing many new home buyers because most of them are working from home and will need an extra room to be an office for them. Before Covid hit, most people went into the offices to work but since so many offices are finding that it is much cheaper to let their employees just work from home. In my neighborhood, Their are 10 out of 20 homes that I know of that are working from home. They might go into the office once a month for a staff meeting. A lot of the offices are closing up due to budget restraints.

Many people don’t realize all the tax deductions they can claim from the IRS. Because it is a home office, You can claim everything from cable to electric to printing to cell phones to heat to mortgage interestmortgage interest. Most people don’t even realize that you can claim your home office room specifically. That room or part of the house has value.

A mortgage calculator is exactly what you need. Please share your thoughts with me..
