2025 Holiday Gift Guide Pick~ A Personalized Visa Card That Actually Feels Like A Gift

Uncategorized · July 2, 2026

Every year I put together my Holiday Gift Guide. Every year I am looking for products that are practical, thoughtful, and actually feel personal. Not the kind of thing that ends up in a drawer somewhere by January. So today I want to share a brand new addition to my 2025 Holiday Gift Guide that I am genuinely excited about. PerfectGift.com, a Pittsburgh-based company (and yes, I am a proud Pittsburgh resident myself!) that makes personalized Visa gift cards with your own photo and message on them.
I have used these for several gifting moments already and Let me tell you, They are the kind of gift that lands. The photo and message turn a regular Visa gift card into something the recipient actually wants to keep. Same flexibility, completely different feeling.

What PerfectGift.com Is
PerfectGift.com creates customized Visa gift cards. You pick a photo. You write a personal message. You choose the amount. They print everything onto the card. You can have a physical card mailed in a custom greeting card or send a digital version by text or email that arrives in minutes. Because it runs on the Visa network, the recipient can use it almost anywhere Visa debit is accepted, in stores or online. For the technical details on how prepaid Visa cards work, the Visa Gift Card resource page covers it.
The photo is what makes this Holiday Gift Guide worthy. A plain Visa gift card feels like an afterthought. A card with a family photo from Thanksgiving on it, or a snowy Christmas memory, or a sweet picture of the grandkids? Completely different feeling. People keep these. They sit on the counter or the mantel for weeks after the holidays.
Did You Know? According to a 2025 consumer gift card report from TSG and Bank of America, 63% of buyers now prefer themed or personalized gift card designs over plain store-branded options. Holiday gifting is officially shifting to personalized, and PerfectGift makes that easy.

Why It Earned A Spot In My 2025 Holiday Gift Guide
I am picky about what I include in my Holiday Gift Guide. Here is what made PerfectGift.com an easy pick this year:
Works for almost everyone on your list. Mom, dad, the in-laws, the grown kids, the niece who is impossible to shop for. Anyone who would use a Visa card (so, anyone) is a fit.
The personalization makes it feel intentional. A photo from a special memory plus a real handwritten-style message makes it feel like more than a piece of plastic.
Same-day shipping if you order before 4pm ET. A lifesaver during the holiday rush.
Digital option for the truly last-minute. The forgotten cousin, the holiday party invite you remembered late, the long-distance friend. Arrives in minutes.
No size, no color, no taste guessing. The recipient picks what they actually want.
Easy to budget around. Choose any amount, preset or custom. Great for tight years or generous ones.
How To Order (Even For The Tech Shy)
I am 60+ and not exactly tech savvy. The whole process took me less than ten minutes. Honest to goodness.
Go to PerfectGift.com and pick the type of card.
Upload a photo from your phone or computer.
Write a personal message that prints inside the greeting card.
Choose the dollar amount you want to give.
Pick your delivery. Physical ships same-day if ordered before 4pm ET. Digital arrives in minutes.
That is it. From start to finish, way less time than driving to the mall.
The PerfectGift+ Option Is Brilliant For The Holidays
One feature worth knowing about is PerfectGift+. Instead of a regular Visa card, the recipient gets a personalized gift invitation and they choose how to use the funds. They can:
Pick a brand from hundreds of retailer eGift options
Activate the balance onto their own debit or credit card
Request a physical Visa card by mail
Send the funds directly to their bank with Zelle
For the hard-to-shop-for people on your holiday list, this is gold. Teens, grown kids, in-laws. They get to pick exactly what they want, and the card still started with your photo and message.

Who To Give This To On Your Holiday List
I have been thinking about who this product is the best fit for. Here is my Holiday Gift Guide-style breakdown of the recipients where this just makes sense:
Grandparents who live far away. A card with a recent photo of the grandkids is the kind they will keep for a long time.
The adult kids in your life. Whether they live nearby or out of state, a personalized card lets them buy what they actually want.
Teen nieces and nephews. Their tastes change weekly. The card stays personal because of the photo and message you choose.
Coworkers and bosses. A professional, thoughtful gift that does not require knowing personal preferences.
Teachers, daycare providers, hair dressers, the people who serve you. A photo card with a sincere thank-you means more than another mug.
The friend you exchange gifts with every year. Mix it up this year with something personal and useful.
Anyone you cannot be with during the holidays. A digital card with a photo from your last visit feels like being there.
Physical Or Digital For The Holidays?
Here is how I think about it.
Physical cards are wonderful for in-person holiday gatherings. The card with the photo on it becomes part of the celebration. Trust me. People hold onto these.
Digital cards are wonderful for everything else. The long-distance family member, the friend who lives across the country, the colleague you exchanged Hanukkah gifts with virtually. Digital arrives in minutes, no shipping or packing required.
Did You Know? Research compiled by Capital One Shopping shows that 90% of consumers consider physical gift cards an appropriate gift, and 71% have held onto a gift card for at least a year after receiving it. A card with a holiday photo on it is the kind that tends to stay displayed even longer.

The Honest Stuff You Should Know
I never give a fake review. Here is the practical info before you order:
There is a small purchase fee, similar to what you would pay at the grocery store for a prepaid card
Cards are for use within the United States only
They are not reloadable since they are designed as gifts, not ongoing accounts
The digital version is for online purchases unless exchanged for a physical card
The funds themselves do not expire. If the card itself expires with money still on it, they issue a replacement
Standard prepaid card stuff but worth knowing before you order.
About PerfectGift.com
PerfectGift.com has been in the gifting business for over 25 years, has loaded more than a billion dollars onto gift cards, and runs a 99.99% same-day error-free issuance rate. Their fulfillment center is in-house right here in Pittsburgh. As a Pittsburgh resident I love being able to support a local business that does things right.
Did You Know? A consumer survey cited by Blackhawk Network found that more than 60% of customers now expect personalized gifting solutions, and 71% of companies that offer personalized gifting report stronger loyalty as a result. Personalization is the new standard for holiday gifts.

My 2025 Holiday Gift Guide Verdict
If you are looking for one gift idea that works for almost everyone on your holiday list, PerfectGift.com is genuinely one of my favorite finds this year. The personalization makes it thoughtful. The Visa flexibility makes it useful. And the same-day shipping means you can still pull it off even if you are late getting started (we have all been there).
If you want a smart, easy, personal holiday gift that does not require any guessing, give PerfectGift.com a try. Pick a meaningful photo from this past year. Write a real holiday message. See what happens. I think you will love it as much as I do.
Please leave me a comment and let me know if you tried it for your holiday shopping. I would love to hear how it went!

Our Dogs Loves Long Lasting Dog Chews

Reviews · March 27, 2024

This post is  a partnership between Responsival and Tammie’s Take. All opinions in this post are 100% my own.

We have a houseful of animals that we consider family. A golden lab{Zeus} and a kitten{Lucy}. My husband {Eric} and I both grew up with pets in our house. Our house is no different because we feel empty without any pets in our home. We recently lost our 2 cats to cancer. I looked like a crazy person walking around talking to myself like I would to the cats. Then we found the kitten across the street in 10 degree weather crying, shivering and scared. Lucy adopted us.

We received a bag of long lasting dog chews for Zeus to try.  We buy Zeus all type of toys but he just tears them apart in minuets. We buy also buy him treats but they too are gone in seconds. These long lasting dog chews are an answer to our prayers. Zeus loves these and cannot get enough of them even though they last a long time.

Some of the benefits of the long lasting dog chews is great alternative to rawhide, helps to remove plaque and tarter to help support dental health, resealable bag to preserve freshness and single ingredient treat soured from only grass fed, free range beef.

My dog chewed this whole long lasting chew in an hour. That is how much he loved it!

I really believe that this long lasting dog chew is something that I have never saw before. I also believe that no other manufacturer makes this type of chew holder. Zeus sure loved it. I think it’s funny how we spoil our family pets with products to make their life and health easier. it not only makes there life easier but ours too. as they relive our stress and anxiety. Dogs can be emotional support animals or even companions. I know they relive my stress and anxiety. They are my kids.

If you own a dog, Your dog is just going to love these long lasting dog chews. I am sure that will look happier and be happier then you have ever seen them. I know mine is as he is loving his long lasting chews. You need to buy your dogs these now. You will not be disappointed.

Creative Ideas for Arts and Crafts Projects with Kids

Reviews · February 29, 2024

The age of video games and mobile phones might be prevalent nowadays, but the time of arts and crafts and other forms of physical activities for kids is still ongoing. Participating in such activities with children gives them exposure to creativity and fosters a sense of bonding between the child and parent.

This article lists fun and creative arts and crafts activities for your kids to spark their imagination and have a productive activity for them to engage in during their free time.

1. Nature Collage

Spending time at home all day does have its pros, but so does going outdoors and engaging with nature. Grab a bucket or tote bag, go for a nature walk, and collect items with your child. The collectables range from interesting leaves, twigs, flowers, and natural wonders. Anything that grabs your attention and can turn into a creative idea works.

Once you’re back home, assemble the collected items and get paper or cardboard or anything that can serve as a base along with glue. Arrange the collected pieces in your desired sequence and stick them to the base to create a wonderful nature collage. You can also make your kids use the leaves for leaf painting or press the remaining flowers for later use.

2. Playdough Creations

Who doesn’t love playing with the playdough? For kids and elders alike, making things out of this ball of happiness is a great way to relieve stress and have a fun activity. You can either buy the dough or make one at home. If you settle for the latter, it brings another layer of fun to the table. All you need to do is mix flour, salt, water, and your choice of food colouring to make the dough you can play with. You can also go for multiple batches to get different colours.

The possibilities are limitless once the dough is procured, premade, or handmade. Go wild with your imagination and encourage your child to explore anything that comes to their mind. If they are beginners, you can start with easy shapes and go on to more complex things like animals or action figures. Once done creating, you can dry the creations and showcase them on a shelf.

3. Appreciate Them

While you carry out these activities, it is important to encourage and appreciate them along the way. Even if what they make is mediocre, don’t outright discourage them with bad remarks. Instead, try a more positive and encouraging approach and appreciate them for the effort they have put in. It instils a sense of motivation in them, and your appreciation and acknowledgement would fuel them to do more and do better.

If you have more than one kid, you can also hold a small celebratory party at home or give them presents or tokens of appreciation in the form of a medal. It doesn’t just extend to arts and crafts. Even if there’s a sport or other skill they show improvement or good performance in, award them something, for instance, swimming or golf trophies, or any other form of appreciation depending on the occasion.

4. Recycled Art Projects

Making things out of recycled materials is a great way to teach your kids sustainability. Instead of directing the activity and prescribing set materials and methods, let them take the lead and challenge them to transform the materials into art pieces. The recyclable materials include cardboard tubes, bottle caps, cereal boxes, egg cartons, and more. While they’re at it, don’t hold yourself back. Gather materials to set an example for your kid and create your artwork. This activity not only endorses a sense of care for the environment but also pushes the children to be more resourceful and creative.

5. Painting!

If you think about it, painting tends to lie more towards the art side and less towards the DIY crafts side. But that depends only on the angle you look at. Painting can also be done after you’re done creating your crafts. Be it the action figure you made with the dough or a project produced through recycled materials, a coat of your favourite coloured paints can completely take it from drab to fab!

Alternatively, you can grab some canvases or sketchbooks, depending on your preference, and get your kids to paint whatever their hearts desire. One way to begin could be with handprints and footprints. You can add personal touches to your pieces by adding names, dates, or messages to go with them. Go the extra mile and get them framed to add to your gallery walls and give your living room a wow factor.

The Bottom Line

Spending time with your kids in activities like those mentioned above is a great way to strengthen your bond. It is also a change from the daily chores, school tasks, and excessive use of gadgets. But that’s not all. Arts and crafts activities are a good way to discover where your child’s potential may lie and also encourage creativity among them.

If you have more interesting ideas about the topic or pastime activities for children, drop them in the comments below. Happy parenting!

Getting Rid Of Back Pain With Amica Cream

pain · December 11, 2023

All opinions and thoughts are 100% my own.

I never understood why I always get asked on a scale of 1 to 10, What is your pain level? IT HURTS! As someone who suffers from pain, I constantly search for options on how relieve my pain. I have tried everything from heating pads to pain medications. I think I just found the product to help or even get rid of my pain. The item I found to help get rid of my pain is Amica Cream.

I believe that if you find am all natural product, That’s an even bigger bonus, There is just so much additives added to products in today world. All natural products actually do work but most do not. Take for example acupuncture such as pills and creams, These so not work on me. I cannot tell you how much money I have spent on these type of products. Not worth the cost.

Then there are magnetic products on the market that I have also wasted a ton of money on. I really thought for sure that these would work. I have psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid  arthritis and these definitely do not work for me. They come in all forms such as braces, patches and tapes.

There is also hot and cold options. Whether it is a cold{ice pack} or a  heating pad. These work somewhat but not as good as I would think compared to the mica cream. This has been the winner by far. I always believed in heating pads a they have worked in the past but as I age, Most of these are not working anymore.  Ice packs or bags work for some but I am not some.

Pain management strategies
  1. pain medicines.
  2. physical therapies (such as heat or cold packs, massage, hydrotherapy and exercise)
  3. psychological therapies (such as cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques and meditation)
  4. mind and body techniques (such as acupuncture)
  5. community support groups.

In today world, You are considered an addict if you take narcotics. I am sorry for those who lost family and friends due to overdoses but that does not make all of us addicts. Some of us need pain medication or creams such as Salonpas or icy hot.

No matter what you choose for your pan relief, I believe that Amica cream is a cream that can help you. It comes in a cream or gel and is all natural.

PepperMate Traditional Pepper Mill-Black

2023 Holiday Gift Guide, Reviews · November 14, 2023

I received the below mentioned complimentary product either for free or a discounted price for the purpose of this post. All opinion and thoughts are 100% my own.

I am a firm believer you cannot cook or create dishes without using spices. Even if it is just salt and pepper. Using spices to season your dishes is a must for your dishes to taste phenomenal. I know alot of family members that do not season their dishes. They think that seasoning them at the table is good enough but it isn’t. seasoning the food as it cooks makes all the difference. Taste is what matters. That is why I am thrilled to add PepperMate to my 2023 Holiday Gift Guide.

I received the traditional PepperMate pepper mill in black. It is not a traditional grinder but has a turn key. I think that id ingenious. No more hard grinders to turn. Young and old can use it. I know alot of people with arthritis in their hands who cannot use most grinders but this is so easy to turn that even they can use it.

“The PepperMate Traditional Pepper Mill is made of the finest materials and assembled with precision and care to provide years of trouble free dependable use. The ceramic pepper mill is adjustable to any size, fine to coarse. Grinds any dried spice or millable ingredient up to the size of a coffee bean. The removable clear bottom cup underneath the pepper grinder conveniently catches fresh pepper grinds.

PEPPERMATE’S TRADITIONAL PEPPER MILL FEATURES:

  • 5.5″ Inches Tall & Made Out of Versatile Corrosive Resistant Ceramic.
  • Easily Adjust Between a Fine and Coarse Grind Up to the Size of Coffee Bean.
  • As seen on the Ina Garten Cooking Show.

One thing to remember is that you don’t have to use this for just pepper. It can used for anything from coffee beans to another spices that you grind. I think this is an awesome device.
