Everyone with carpeting requires deep-cleaning services every once in a while. This includes residential homes and commercial and public offices. The majority of homeowners and business owners outsource carpet cleaning to professionals. This means that the carpet cleaning business can prove to be a lucrative venture. If you are on the fence about starting a carpet business, read on as we will discuss how carpet cleaning business can prove to a lucrative investment and how you can start a carpet cleaning business.

Why You Should Start a Carpet Cleaning Business?

Majority of residential homes and offices built since 1960’s currently have wall-to-wall carpeting. The high replacement costs have caused the majority of homeowners to make what they own last longer, especially when it comes to carpeting as it is a hefty investment. These conditions have made the carpet cleaning industry huge and they practically guarantee your success as a carpet cleaning company.

The existing population is too busy and occupied to take care of their homes and complete any DIY project. They put off all chores that require special equipment until later. This is also true with carpet cleaning as people know how hard this job is. Thus, they are willing to pay to a specialist or an expert to do carpet cleaning for them.

Businesses employ janitorial services for vacuuming their carpets every day. They also hire professional carpet cleaners for deep-cleaning their carpets perhaps once or twice a week. This creates a huge demand for the services offered by a carpet cleaning company.

So if you think that you have what it takes to make your name in the carpet cleaning industry, then a carpet cleaning venture might be the right one for you.

How to Start a Carpet Cleaning Business?

1.    Create a Business Plan

The first thing you need to do to start a carpet cleaning business is creating a business plan. Decide whether you want to target residential homes or commercial business or both. Jot down all the services that you’ll be providing – stain or spot removal, deep cleaning, carpet repair, steam cleaning, etc. Create estimates for expenses. Also, decide how you will market and grow your business.

2.    Location

Decide the location of your business. Find an office that’ll allow you to reach clients easily.

3.    Get all the Papers in Order

It’s important that you prepare all the documents that are required to register and start a company. You could consider hiring an attorney to handle all the legal work to avoid complications.

4.    Choose the Equipment

Depending on the type of services you’ll be providing, choosing the equipment and products that’ll help you carry out the cleaning and repair work. Industrial vacuums, low flow carpet cleaners, cleaning chemical, etc. will be required.

5.    Market Your Brand

Start marketing your brand. Build a website and create profiles on social media platforms.

Carpet cleaning business, like any other venture, isn’t easy. You will face hardships along the way and you may think that things will not work for you. But, you shouldn’t give up then and keep working hard to achieve success.

I would think that would be a good business to get into. Especially when people are doing Spring cleaning, hosting parties and the holidays.

This is one business I don’t hear much about, but it is a good idea. Rugs in general are becoming more popular. Also, people who have carpeting, and want to sell their home really need to have them deep cleaned. It may really come back in style, and I’ve seen articles saying it is starting to come back again, might be a good time to get into this!

We have to keep up our rug and house cleaning because of my immune system. Our rug is old now, but it did cost us a fortune! Wall – to -wall rug throughout our home. The only commercial I hear for carpet cleaners, is for Stanley Carpet. This is something to think about! Thanks for the advice and Thanks for sharing!
