I go to the stores the day after Valentines to get the candy at discounted prices.

Usually each year my spouse and I generally will prepare a dinner at home together. This year we actually have reservations at a restaurant in Atlanta so that will be something new to experience this year!
For Valentine’s Day I make crafts with my daughters.
I make a romantic dinner for two when it falls on a weekday.
For valentines I usually get some yummy chocolate and do a movie night with the gals

My husband & I have a long standing tradition of attending an NBA game and going to dinner before & drinks after the game. Due to game schedules, it doesn’t always fall on Valentine’s Day – this year we’ll celebrate on Feb 13th!
We usually only get candy or something small for Valentine’s Day.
What do you do for Valentine’s Day?’
We exchange cards and sometimes go out to a nice dinner. If we don’t go out we might have a nice bottle of wine with dinner. My husband may or may not purchase some chocolate for me, but we don’t as a rule exchange gifts.
We don’t usually do anything real special for Valentine’s day. We exchange Valentine’s gifts, and I make nice dinner for my husband and daughter.
We do something as a family for Valentines Day. We usually order a heart-shaped pizza and watch a movie with our kids. It’s not totally romantic, but it’s always a fun night for all of us!
We usually exchange a few gifts, make a heart cake, and eat a fun meal at home.
We usually just stay in for Valentine’s Day because our anniversary is the week before. So we do a combo anniversary/Valentine’s date on our anniversary, and then stay in on the 14th to save money!
We usually cook dinner together at home on Valentines Day or sometimes go to a play.
We have an appointment but my husband and I may have coffee together.
We don’t do anything special on Valentine’s Day although I do usually make my husband Red Velvet cupcakes.

One thing I don’t enjoy about February is how cold it is. I’m just ready for it to warm up!
We don’t do anything to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Money saving is a top priority this year, so we have agreed to stop gift giving for now until we buy our new home.
It is my 10th anniversary and we are going to have t-bone steaks.

If one of our six kids, 13 grand-kids, or 2 great grand-kids get us a box of chocolates, that would be nice. If all of them do, that would be a problem since we could use some weight off these old bones.

Valentine’s Day has become too commercialized (also too pricey). It is much better to stay home and appreciate each other (while eating chocolate, of course).

I’m kind of frustrated with Valentine’s Day this year, to be honest with you. I don’t have a Valentine (except for my kids lol), but I’m already so tired of hearing about it! When you’re single it just gets annoying. I guess I’ll just be my own Valentine!
