Our summer is filled with spending lazy days lounging by the pool! Love summer as I get to spend more time with my grandkids because they are out of school!

I work full time, but on the weekends I try to stay where it’s cool and read. Luckily, the storms haven’t affected our power, so I go about business as usual when it storms.

Well here in Wisconsin, the summer storms are certainly frequent, though thus far, we haven’t lost power, so I stay indoors.

OH wow, we live in lightening capital of the world…Florida. So, we don’t mess around, especially, since my uncle was killed. Take shelter immediately and count.
During Summer storms, I stay inside with the kids and track the weather to stay safe if they are severe.
I spend a lot of time quilting and take breaks outside to enjoy the sunshine. When I keep my Grandkids we are doing crafts, going to the park or museums. During stormy weather, I like to smell the freshness of the rain and watch how everything seems brighter when it’s over (the washed look). When the Grandkids are with us, we talk about the rain and how it helps so many things grow and survive.

We live in Kissimmee; so, summers are too hot and there are too many tourists around to have any fun. We wait until the tourists are gone and the weather is more comfortable to go out and have fun at the local attractions.
