July is also the Holiday where almost everyone has picnics or any outdoor activities. Most days are full of sun and blue sky’s. The perfect weather for doing anything outdoors. We spend a lot of time indoors during summer storms, playing board games.

I stay inside when it is super hot and humid. Which is A LOT!

Our summer is filled with spending lazy days lounging by the pool! Love summer as I get to spend more time with my grandkids because they are out of school!

I spend it with family.. also fixing some stuff around the house.

We have a huge umbrella on the porch now, so I love going out there and reading in the shade!

Summer days are spent enjoying the long daylight hours in any way possible.

All during the summer, I hibernate in air conditioning whether it’s storming or not.

I go to the movie theater during summer storms

My typical summer day in a nutshell; I feed the kids, do some laundry, empty and reload the dishwasher, a little bit of time online, read in the hammock while the boys play outside if it’s not raining.

Right now I’m spending my summer days helping my mom. My stepdad passed away in mid-May. I am glad to have this time with my mom, but I miss my family!

I work full time, but on the weekends I try to stay where it’s cool and read. Luckily, the storms haven’t affected our power, so I go about business as usual when it storms.

I spend most of my summer days inside in the air conditioning.

Well here in Wisconsin, the summer storms are certainly frequent, though thus far, we haven’t lost power, so I stay indoors.

We are having a summer storms right now. I like to read blogs and watch movies during summer storms.

During summer storms, I am reminded of how my grandma used to make us sit still and “Let the Lord work!” So now as an adult, I find myself sitting quietly, doing nothing during summer storms. It’s nice actually.

OH wow, we live in lightening capital of the world…Florida. So, we don’t mess around, especially, since my uncle was killed. Take shelter immediately and count.

During Summer storms, I stay inside with the kids and track the weather to stay safe if they are severe.

I spend a lot of time quilting and take breaks outside to enjoy the sunshine. When I keep my Grandkids we are doing crafts, going to the park or museums. During stormy weather, I like to smell the freshness of the rain and watch how everything seems brighter when it’s over (the washed look). When the Grandkids are with us, we talk about the rain and how it helps so many things grow and survive.

Unfortunately. my summer days are spent working inside an office. My children are all adults with families of their own, so at least I’m not depriving them of awesome summer activities. Days away from the office are spent cleaning house and doing laundry, fun stuff.

I like to spend my summer mornings outside in my backyard enjoying nature and playing with my dog. The afternoons I usually hibernate or go somewhere cool during the heat of the day. Evenings cool down greatly where we live so backyard fires in our firepit and barbecues are always fun.
