For me, cleaning can be a drag. I get bored quickly and abandon my chores. However, I am also a list maker. And I can’t stand when the list is not finished. So I now make a list of the things I need to clean around my house each week and by Saturday night they all have to be done before I head to bed. I group them in groups of importance. Things that have to be done the day I make the list (usually Monday). Things that have to be done by the end of the week. Things that require fixing, etc. It makes my life a lot easier seeing it all written out. My brain thinks that I can not start the new week unless these things are done because it was written out. Crazy! But it works for me.

Top cleaning tip — laundry is everywhere, always. I try to always keep my mudroom (where the washer and dryer are) clean and as organized as possible. It makes it more enjoyable to be in that room. Also, we have YouTube TV, so while I work in there I watch TV on my iPad with a portable bluetooth speaker. Makes the work go by faster! 🙂

Oh, my tip would be the pool or air. Sometimes when my hot flashes hit hard though, the air just doesn’t hit them, so I have a fan that I place towards me too, lol. I’M OLD!

My top tip for cleaning is a new rule I started for my niece and nephew who stay with me during the summer. They aren’t good about cleaning up after themselves and I was tired of the mess. It gets cluttered quickly in my little apartment with so many of us in a small space. So now if I they don’t take care of their dirty clothes or trash they have to pick up that plus 10 more things. They hate cleaning, so it is definitely making a difference! They are more aware of cleaning up after themselves now.
