    We have been doing summer house projects this week. My tip is to assign one project a day. I tend to get overwhelmed if I look at my whole list but not if I know that we just need to trim the bushes today.

    Drink a lot of ice water and sit under a ceiling fan. In the summer, eat a lot of cold fruit. We like cold watermelon and cantaloupe.

    My tip for keeping cool is drinking ice cold water and if you are working outside have a cool rag on our neck. Tips for cleaning well i have 2 kids so my house never stay clean for long i do all the cleaning all at once so about 2-3 times a week gets deep cleaned

    For me, cleaning can be a drag. I get bored quickly and abandon my chores. However, I am also a list maker. And I can’t stand when the list is not finished. So I now make a list of the things I need to clean around my house each week and by Saturday night they all have to be done before I head to bed. I group them in groups of importance. Things that have to be done the day I make the list (usually Monday). Things that have to be done by the end of the week. Things that require fixing, etc. It makes my life a lot easier seeing it all written out. My brain thinks that I can not start the new week unless these things are done because it was written out. Crazy! But it works for me.

    I do Estate sales for people so I see how out of hand people can get with there stuff so I try to keep my house organized and get rid of stuff I don’t need, my tip is not to get so sentimental about stuff it just weighs people down.

    Top cleaning tip — laundry is everywhere, always. I try to always keep my mudroom (where the washer and dryer are) clean and as organized as possible. It makes it more enjoyable to be in that room. Also, we have YouTube TV, so while I work in there I watch TV on my iPad with a portable bluetooth speaker. Makes the work go by faster! 🙂

    Oh, my tip would be the pool or air. Sometimes when my hot flashes hit hard though, the air just doesn’t hit them, so I have a fan that I place towards me too, lol. I’M OLD!

    We have a freezer chest and every day I take my top sheet and put it in a plastic bag and store it in freezer before bed I take it out and it works quite well keeping us cool during the night

    My tip for home cleaning is if you are walking into or out of a room, take something that needs to be put up. Also take a few minutes each day for basic tasks like dishes. It helps me keep from getting overwhelmed

    I used the Kon Mari method to organize my home. It involves going through everything you know and asking yourself if the item sparks joy. If it doesn’t make you happy, off it goes! This especially helped me in getting rid of lots of clothes that I rarely wore.

    To stay cool if possible visit a shaded area that would be a good and easy way to stay cooler than in direct sun in my own area. I would say I clean my house from the top to the bottom that way I don’t have to repeat sweeping as I clean.

    My tip for staying cool is to leave the windows open at night and then around 9 am close everything up and turn on a couple of oscillating fans. That keeps my apartment cool all day without the need for A/C.

    When I need to get cool fast is when I’m done mowing. I stay outside and try to get some breeze and I make sure I have a big glass of ice to sip on.

    My top tip for cleaning is a new rule I started for my niece and nephew who stay with me during the summer. They aren’t good about cleaning up after themselves and I was tired of the mess. It gets cluttered quickly in my little apartment with so many of us in a small space. So now if I they don’t take care of their dirty clothes or trash they have to pick up that plus 10 more things. They hate cleaning, so it is definitely making a difference! They are more aware of cleaning up after themselves now.

    I recommend doing yard work or going to the beach early in the morning. It gets very hot here between 12pm and 3pm. To keep cool stay hydrated, wear lightweight comfortable clothing, and avoid being out in direct sun too long.
