2019 Holiday Gift Guide, Reviews · December 1, 2019

I Received The Below Mentioned Complimentary Product Either For Free Or A Discounted Price For The Purpose Of This Post. All Opinions And Thoughts Are 100% My Own.

I love to bring a smile to the faces of any one I love. Christmas is the holiday I love to do this the most as you can do this on other holidays but Christmas seems to get the most reactions. I own several Ugly Christmas Sweater from UglyChristmasSweaters, com. This is a staple product for every Christmas. So this year, I was thrilled when the opportunity came about to review another Ugly Christmas Sweater from UglyChristmasSweater.com

This year I chose to review a sweater that can be changed up or down. I chose the Women’s Candy Canes and Snowflakes Button Up Ugly Christmas Sweater with A Bow tie. The sweater gave the impression of being dressed up and then again could be dressed down by removing the bow tie. Where a shirt under it or not. A multitude of different ideas are swirling in my head. I do not know any one who does not like Ugly Christmas Sweaters. I am just so very happy that now their is a site that has Ugly Christmas Sweaters in all sort of themes, t.v. shows and even movies. They do have it all. Every size, Every style and every size.

My Review/Thoughts~

I love everything about this sweater. It is made from the best materials. A real quality product. It will last for a long time. I can personally say that their sweaters are top notch. UglyChristmasSweater.com has very fast shipping. I received my sweater in a little over a week. The attention to detail is amazing. They are very reasonably priced and that is a bonus. It makes me want to throw an Ugly Sweater Party and not just wear it to the Christmas dinner. This would make the perfect Holiday gift.

I highly recommend the UglyChristmasSweater.com site to buy your Ugly Christmas Sweater. I give it my thumbs up and my seal of approval.

Four Ways to Get Gifts on a Budget This Christmas

Reviews · November 18, 2019

It’s no secret that people tend to overspend a little bit over the festive season. And, most years, the average American will plan to spend over $600 on gifts. Unless you’ve been putting money aside all year round for the sole purpose of treating your family and friends this Christmas, monitoring your spending and sticking to a budget is a sensible idea. In fact, even if you have money saved up for the purpose of gifts, a good budget and spending plan can help it stretch further. Here are some ideas to help you keep your spending under control this Christmas.

#1. Stick to a Gift Budget:

It can be all too tempting to spend a lot on that special person in your life, like your child, partner or parent – but that might leave you with precious little to get gifts for everybody else. That’s why it’s so important to stick to a gift budget. Look at the amount of money that you have available to spend on gifts and determine how much you would like to spend on each recipient before choosing what to buy for them. Having a budget in mind will help you stay within your limits and afford to get everybody a gift they will love.

#2. DIY:

If you’re on a tight budget this Christmas, then don’t worry – often, carefully thought out, homemade gifts can be even more meaningful and special than the ones you’d buy in the store, and the best part is that they can easily be the best gift you give somebody this year without having to overspend. If you’re a creative kind of person, there are loads of gift ideas you can make on a budget – photo scrapbooks, knitted accessories, paintings, or even home-baked goods are all welcome underneath Christmas trees, and the thought and effort you’ve put into making a unique gift will be more appreciated than any money you’ve spent.

#3. Check Out Outlet Stores:

It’s not uncommon to be handed a Christmas list by a relative or friend with items that are pretty expensive on there. Perfume or cologne, for example, is a common item on Christmas wish lists and makes a lovely gift, but getting a high-quality one with a scent the recipient will love can come at a hefty price. So, before you hit the shops, check out online outlet stores like this beauty outlet where you can find fragrances and much more at a price you’ll love.

#4. Get Discount Codes:

Finally, shopping online for your Christmas gifts is a fantastic idea for many different reasons. You can get all the gifts you need from the comfort of your own home, avoiding going out into the cold and the crowded stores. But Christmas shopping online can also be a great way to save money too. Before you start shopping, it’s worth conducting a quick search for any discount and voucher codes that you can use to get some money off your basket. Look out for newsletter offers, too – some stores will give you a discount just for signing up to updates.

How do you plan to save money on Christmas gifts this year?

The Christmas Chronicles on @Netflix November 22 #TheChristmasChronicles, #ad #rwm

Reviews · November 20, 2018

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Review Wire Media for Netflix.

Christmas movies are all the rage in my home. During this time of the year, These type of movies are all we watch. I really think an action holiday movie helps to put us in the holiday mood~

The Christmas Chronicles is a wishful, hilarious, family festive adventure. This is our first live action family film with a well established director and big profile actor in Kurt Russell. From producer Chris Columbus (“Home Alone”, “Harry Potter”) and director Clay Kaytis (“The Angry Birds Movie”), The Christmas Chronicles, tells the story of sister and brother, Kate (Darby Camp) and Teddy Pierce (Judah Lewis), whose Christmas Eve plan to catch Santa Claus (Kurt Russell) on camera turns into an unexpected journey that most kids could only dream about. After staking out Santa’s arrival, they sneak into his sleigh, cause it to crash and nearly derail Christmas. As their wild night unfolds, Kate and Teddy work together with Santa – as you’ve never seen him before – and his loyal Elves to save Christmas before it’s too late. The Christmas Chronicles premieres on Netflix, November 22, 2018!

I  consider myself very lucky in that I was able to view this trailer of The Christmas Chronicles. This trailer has over  340,000+ views. So, They must be doing something right. I am such a huge Kurt Russell fan! I hope you will join me in watching The Christmas Chronicles on November 22nd.

Here’s How You Save Money at Christmas without Cutting Back

Reviews · November 2, 2018

Everyone wants to save money at Christmas, but the problem is that not many people want to cut back when buying presents for their friends and family. This is completely understandable because at the end of the day, Christmas is a fantastic time for you to show people how much you love them. It can also be fun to go out and do your Christmas shopping as well, but luckily there are a few things that you can do to make all this possible without breaking the bank.

Cashback Credit Card

A cashback credit card ultimately means that every purchase you make, gives you money back. This will make your shopping way cheaper and you don’t even have to spend time looking up discount codes and vouchers either. If you want to stay on top of your finances, then you need to make sure that you are paying it back every single month. The best way for you to do this would be for you to set up a direct debit. If you don’t then you could be facing interest rates up to 23%, and this is the last thing you need with the festive season being right around the corner.

Buy Online

Nothing quite compares to going out to the Christmas market, and this is especially the case when the lights and decorations are all up. You can however save a ton of money by shopping online. The main reason for this is because when you do shop online, you can avoid making impulse buys and you can also find the products you need at a much cheaper price. As if that wasn’t enough, you can also keep an eye out for discount codes and vouchers too. If you want to get the best result out of your online shop, then make sure that you go to the actual store’s website rather than an outlet.

Don’t be Snobby

It’s a great feeling to take pride in the presents that you are buying. You should never feel like you are going to be judged entirely on the price tag of the product you are giving however. In fact, some of the best gifts are often homemade and very thoughtful. There are so many options available if you want to try this for yourself, including homemade brownies, jam and other festive goodies. You never know, you might end up setting a family tradition and this can really save money for the future as well.

Book Train Tickets in Advance

If you are travelling for Christmas then it is more than possible for you to save money on transportation. This is especially the case if you are travelling via train. If you book your tickets 12 weeks in advance, you will see the prices drop significantly. A lot of train services bump up the prices around the festive period because they know that a lot of people will be travelling at this time, so it helps to look into this. You may even want to look into a rail card as well, as this could save you even more money if you qualify for a discount rate.

Use a Loyalty Card

A lot of people don’t think that loyalty cards are worth it. The main reason for this is because they use their points every single week and they don’t save much money as a result. If you were to save money throughout the year however then you could easily build up your vouchers. When you do this, you can use them all at once at Christmas and this can really help you to save a ton of money. It doesn’t matter whether you use it for gifts, or whether you use it to do some Christmas shopping because it’s a great tip that can make a huge difference.

Don’t Overbuy Food

Sure, you may love a Christmas turkey and it may also be nice for you to have a turkey sandwich on boxing day as well, but it is more than possible for you to overbuy food at Christmas and if you are not careful it can really put a dent in your budget. If you want to get around this then you need to work out how many people you are having, and how much each person is likely to have. When you have done this, add a little bit extra on top to let people have a second serving. Anything extra than this, you don’t need at all. When you follow this method, you can have way less waste and you can also feel confident knowing that you are saving money too.

Stay Organised

When it comes to Christmas, you need to stay organised. You also need to make sure that you know who you need to buy for as well. When you have this information, it then helps to plan out what you are going to buy and the price you are looking to spend. When you are able to do this, you can then stop yourself from overspending and you can also work out exactly how much your gifts are going to come to. When you have an idea of the price you want to spend, you can also try and save money by looking out for deals that might make it cheaper.

Get a Loan

If you know that you are going to really struggle over Christmas then it may be a good idea for you to try and get a loan. When you do this, you can pay it off over time and there are even bad credit personal loans at OnlineCash4Payday®.  Of course, this is a great option if you are unable to get a credit card and you’d be surprised at how helpful it can be when the festive season comes along.

Brave Black Friday

Sure, the mere thought of Black Friday is probably enough to give you a ton of anxiety. You have people fighting over televisions and you also have terrifying scenes as well. If you are brave enough to battle the crowds, you can save a ton of money by shopping on this day. This is especially the case if you know who you are buying for and even how much you are planning on spending. If you need to buy technology then this is easily the best date for you to shop on so do keep that in mind. If you don’t find anything on Black Friday, then you always have Cyber Monday.

Start Your Shopping Now

If you can, you should always start your shopping as early as possible. You can buy a few things every single week and you can also stay on top of things financially. You can get things done bit by bit and this can work wonders for your stress levels. As mentioned above, if you are able to break everything down then this can really help you to get everyone done without having to worry about spending too much and you would really be surprised at how much this can help you to save.

Of course, Christmas shopping isn’t easy to say the least and this is especially the case if you have so many people to buy for. If you want to save money then the above tips should really help you out. On top of this, they can also help you to reduce your stress levels by a significant amount so you can make the whole thing much easier on yourself and your family.
