About The Product/Company~
Thames & Kosmos was founded in 2001 by a science museum director and her son, who saw the great need and demand for better science education materials — resources for parents and their children that are more engaging, more effective, more relevant, and more fun.
Thames & Kosmos operates as the exclusive arm of parent company, Franckh-Kosmos Verlags-GmbH & Co. KG — Kosmos for short — based in Stuttgart, Germany. Founded in 1822, Kosmos operated solely as a book publisher until the 1920s, when the company published its first science kits aimed at explaining the world of science to children and young adults by bringing it to life with hands-on experiments.
Generations of European children have discovered their enthusiasm for science through Kosmos science kits. Since 2001, Thames & Kosmos and Kosmos have teamed up to develop science kits for children in the United States and other English speaking markets around the world.
Learn about reactions between solids, liquids, and gases. Discover the colorful effects of acids and bases. Perform astonishing “magic” tricks for your friends. Make fizzy and foamy reactions. Write messages with invisible ink. Investigate metals and salts in electrochemical experiments with a 9-volt battery (not included). Learn for yourself how chemistry goes far beyond textbooks and laboratories to explain occurrences that happen around us every day. The 48-page,full-color experiment manual gives simple instructions for setting up and performing each experiment, and then clear explanations of what happened and why. This kit is ideal for children who are interested in chemistry but who are not yet ready for a more advanced chemistry set. It serves as an excellent introduction to our other chemistry sets.

My Review/Thoughts~
I have been trying to open the world of my kids to stem. Letting them know that the world needs more people in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Who knows- maybe one of them will be the next great Einstein. I do not know who had more fun trying different experiments from the Chemistry C500.
