Great Ideas to Jazz up Your Child’s Bedroom

If there is one thing that doesn’t remain a constant, it’s your child’s bedroom. Not only do they have different toys every year, but their tastes change so you always have to repaint it with the next big interest. However, what can you do that will be great for your child’s bedroom and doesn’t mean changing the color of the walls every year? Here are some ideas for your kid’s bedroom that you can easily change.

Repaint the Walls

Although the idea is that you don’t want to be constantly redesigning the walls, you will need to make them a blank canvas for your ideas. Try to repaint them in a neutral color so that it doesn’t clash with anything you will be putting in the room. You also don’t want them associating a color with a particular theme. Something calming like a cream or soft beige might sound dull, but it will make a nice contrast to the rest of the room.

Change the Bed

If the room currently has a standard single bed in there, then although this is ok, you want something that will serve many purposes. You want a bed that can also be a sofa, a place to lounge on to watch movies, and a place to play. One idea if you have space is to replace it with a double bed, this will give your child more room to lay and sleep, and it can also cater for friends that want to sit down as well. Another idea is a high bed that has a desk underneath. It is an ideal choice for a small room as it creates additional space, it is also good for the older child that needs to study more.

Theme the Furniture

If your child is still into having a themed bedroom, then instead of having characters in the walls, place them on the furniture. For example, if they love pirates, then put stickers of pirates and ships on the desk and the other furniture, you can also add some rope and other sailing accessories without having to have anything permanent. You can also get themed curtains and bedclothes that can easily be taken down when they have grown out of it.

Personalized Accessories

As well as adding themes to the furniture, you can also add other accessories. One idea is to create a calendar using a company such as calendarcraze.com and add photos of your child’s current favorite celebrities and heroes. Because it only lasts for one year, you can change the photos every year to keep it up to date. You can also get mugs and mouse mats with their favorite characters and change them as they get older. They will also enjoy the process of picking out the characters to use in the accessories.

By making the room more adaptable, you can save not only time but also money on wallpaper and wall stickers. It also makes repainting easier as you can use the same or similar colors again.

I have never liked a bed tray more than I love the NNEWVANTE Large Bed Tray. I love how the legs are so simple to fold out and in for easy storage. The surface is smooth with a label in one corner of it. I can eat breakfast, perfect for my laptop and even for just things as playing cards or a game on it. The NNEWVANTE Large Bed Tray is perfect for young and old. You need this in our house.

Getting The Temperature Right With Layers

Everybody is different, so getting the temperature right in your spare room can be tough. Guest Entertainment

Just because your guests have gone to bed doesn’t mean they’ll sleep right away. It’s only polite to leave them something to keep them entertained if they can’t sleep. Consider including a book shelf with some great books on there, or a small TV that they can put on if they’re feeling restless. You don’t want them to lie awake all night in the dark and resent you for it the next day!

Make sure that any electricals in the room can easily be turned off so as not to disrupt your guest’s sleeping pattern. You don’t want any pesky little lights getting in the way and keeping them up. Do include a nice lamp for your guests to use too, just incase they do choose to read.

I do not know about you but to me presentation is everything. If you look at the upper left photo, This is what I saw when I opened the box. The upper right photo is what I found when I removed the case from the box. It is hard not to know the PeachSkinSheet theme going on here~

I have a ton of medical issues and sleep is what I usually do not get at night. We have done everything from buying new pillows to a new mattress to spraying my pillow with a lilac scent but the aches and pains of Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis still keep me from falling and staying a sleep . One of the major obstacles I also face are hot flashes. Why do they always hit at night? Some sweating but I get really, really hot then really, really cold. My Thoughts/Review~

I will be the first to admit that I never bought a set of bed sheets for myself. When my Mom was alive she would buy them, I would get them as hand me downs or from a relative who had passed away. Sad, I know. It was not until I received the PeachSkinSheets and my husband and I tried them that I came to the realization that I would never take hand me downs again as they were usually of poor quality. PeachSkinSheets are an incredible 1500 thread count soft. I just don’t get it but these sheets are amazing. The PeachSkinSheets keep me cool when I’m hot and keep me warm when I am cold. They wash up and dry wrinkle free perfectly. The Smart Fabric they use wicks away moisture, is a breathable fabric, anti-pill and anti- slip which means no slipping out of bed. What is there not to love about PeachSkinSheets 18 inch deep pockets and anti-microbial. One nights sleep on the PeachSkinSheets was enough to make me sold on them as they always have a monthly sale($55) on their colors of the month. Since we bought this house a little under 2 years ago, I thought I would paint the bedroom an Olive color. That is why I picked Sage Green for my sheets. I am know thinking of painting it a blue/gray but that means I need to order another pair of PeachSkinSheets.
