Soju
4923 Penn Avenue
Soju is a Korean American establishment that has been on the scene since March. Some of the favorite dishes are the chicken katsu, kimchi fried rice, and the tuna poke. There’s also a wide variety of cocktails available. The atmosphere is both trendy and comfortable, making it a perfect destination for a night out with friends.

Brugge on North
40 W North Avenue
Having opened in April, Brugge on North is making quite a splash! You’ll definitely want to try their moules frites, cheesecake with lemon curd, tomato based mussels, and their signature kiwi cocktail. It’s in a shared space with the City of Asylum book store, so you can have a great meal after shopping for some literary treasures.

Coughlin’s Law Kitchen and Ale House
10 Virginia Avenue
Comfort food is somehow made even better with the menu at Coughlin’s. How could you go wrong with an appetizer of bacon lollipops? There are also vegan options available here which makes it fitting for groups who have a wide range of preferences. There’s usually quite a wait to get in so be sure to consider looking at their online wait list service before coming in.

Fujiya Ramen
815 S Aiken Avenue
This ramen house has a lot to offer! If you’re not familiar with this dish, it is a flavorful broth with a generous helping of thin noodles and other ingredients like egg, meats, and vegetables. It’s truly authentic, and the flavors are impressive. Their miso ramen is the most ordered plate, but any of the options here are sure to be fresh and delicious. The best way to end a meal here is to order some of their mochi ice cream as a dessert.

Making Sure Your Family Is Taken Care Of

Reviews · June 19, 2018

As a parent, your number one priority is taking care of your family—especially your children. A lot of people spend their entire lives looking for somebody to start a family with, so the importance of family can’t be overstated.

There are a number of things you can do to make sure your family is taken care of, including working toward a better career, properly securing your home, purchasing the right car and more. If you want to make sure you’re doing everything you can to take care of your family, here are some tips.

Physical Safety

When it comes to caring for your family, physical safety is definitely a priority. Like all people, your family may go through various life-threatening situations, from a burglary to a bad car accident. While there is nothing you can do to avoid these things entirely, you can take steps to make sure they aren’t as impactful.

Making sure you buy a safe car is a big part of having a family. You no longer need to focus on speed and style; once you’ve got a caravan full of kids, it’s time to focus on safety features and IIHS crash test ratings. Look for a car that gets high ratings for its ability to withstand impact from accidents without costing a fortune.

You should also take some steps to secure your home. With the advanced technology available today, you can find relatively affordable security systems which are easy to install. Some systems even provide home monitoring services.

Life Insurance

Although passing away and leaving your family behind is something you never want to think about, it is a real possibility that you need to prepare for. This is why it’s important to purchase a good Pittsburgh life insurance policy, especially if your work or health put you at risk.

Life insurance will help your family take care of funeral expenses and anything they may not be able to pay after you’re gone. This includes anything they need, from a mortgage or gas payment to groceries or new school clothes.

Work Life Balance

Before many people start a family, they pursue a career to make sure they have sufficient income to support a family. However, some people make the mistake of pursuing a career that will ultimately be too demanding. While making good money is an important part of supporting your family, being there is even more important.

From sporting events or concerts at school to simple things your family takes interest in, you need to be around as often as possible. It may be tempting to pick up that extra eight-hour shift at work, but the effects will ultimately be negative when you don’t get to come home on time and sit around the dinner table with your family. Moments like these are integral to your children’s growth and your family’s togetherness.

You may have a lot to do as a parent, but you can manage it. For your hard work, you will be rewarded with the best thing in life: a loving family.

You may own your own car, but there are plenty of facts we bet you didn’t know about the wonderful world of automobiles. Since the introduction of the motor car in the late 19th century, people the world over have become fascinated with these vehicles. The car has evolved into high-speed models, colourful creations, and symbols of status. Here are some fascinating facts about the much-loved motor car for you, your family, and your friends to enjoy.

Watching paint dry
It takes an average of 25 hours to build one car. You would think individual mechanics of the vehicle would be the most time-consuming part, yet, incredibly, it takes ten hours to just paint an averaged sized vehicle.

Massive fine
Speeding anywhere but on the race track, or on private property, is not OK, and to prove that, the Swedish government issued a fine the equivalent of $1,000,000 to a man traveling over the permitted limit. In Sweden fines are issued as a percentage of your earnings, and to date, this is the largest fine ever given for speeding anywhere in the world.

OMG it’s an OEM!
Ever heard of the acronym, OEM? Perhaps you want to wow your friends with some auto-jargon? An OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturers and is a term used to describe certain companies that produce parts and subsystems which are then used in another product created by a different company. Confused? Discover more about the OEM Meaning at Tuning Guru, and marvel your fellow car enthusiasts with some more fascinating facts.

Expensive tastes
You may have noticed that some coffee chains charge an astonishing amount for their premium coffee choices. To get an idea of just how expensive a coffee can be, check out this fact – you will be charged 8 times more for a gallon of Grande Latte Starbucks than for a gallon of gas!

Speaking of coffee…
If you love coffee and are looking for ways to reuse all those coffee grounds, take a look at the Car-puccino. This one-off car runs on coffee grounds, travels at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour, and requires re-filling and cleaning every 30 to 45 miles. Not exactly a convenient way to travel, but it is certainly one way to help the environment.

Clean machines
Cleaning your car can be quite therapeutic and is a great way for your kids to earn some pocket money. However, not all people enjoy giving their car a good wash as apparently 16% of people in America never wash their car. Is that even hygienic?

Traveling in style
The heaviest limousine is reported to weigh over 50,000 pounds and can seat around 40 passengers. This deluxe vehicle features three lounges and a bar. Imagine turning up to prom in that!

A lasting legacy
It appears that Rolls Royce really do produce cars that are built to last, as it is believed that 75% of all cars produced by the company are still on the road.

How To Dress Your Body Type

Reviews · June 15, 2018

The secret to looking dashing and stylish lies in understanding your body type and finding the appropriate attires that flatter it. You could thousands of dollars on designer dollars but you will never be elegant if the clothes are unsuitable for your body type.

Knowing how to dress for your body type improves your overall appearances since your strong assets are accentuated at the expense of your flaws which get naturally masked. A dress can look wonderful on display but look awful on you because it isn’t meant for your particular body type.

So how do your body type?

Different body types

The body types are classified according to the measurements of the shoulder, bust, waist and hips. The main categories are apple, hourglass, pear and rectangular body shapes.

Dressing apple-shaped body type

You are apple-shaped if you have broader shoulders and a wider chest which gives the impression of a bigger upper body compared to the lower body. You look like an apple since some of your body weight accumulates around your midsection.

To have a flattering look, wear clothes that take attention away from your upper body and highlights your lower body. You should wear V-line tops that give the illusion of a narrower chest and monochromatic colors.

You shouldn’t wear Body Slimming Corset since they make your top half look even bigger while narrowing your legs, which you should be flaunting.

Dressing hourglass body type

The hourglass body is characterized by big chest, narrow waist and wide hips representing an hourglass frame or a wasp. Every aspect of the hourglass body is well-defined and you should wear clothes that flatter your frame.

Your choice of clothes should accentuate your curves and fit snugly around them. You should stock plenty of cinched dresses that flaunt the waistline. Loose fitting clothes hide your figure and you should avoid them unless you are wearing them with a belt. Even then, body contouring dresses should be a staple in your closet.

Dressing pear-shaped body type

This is the exact opposite of apple-shaped body where the lower body is heavier than the upper body. Pear body types have bigger thighs and wider hips but a comparatively smaller bust.

If you dress your pear-shaped body right, you can give the illusion of balance that is an hourglass frame. Wear fitting tops to compensate for your small shoulders and body hugging pants or dresses to highlight your strengths. You can wear whatever an hourglass can put on.

Dressing rectangular-shaped body type

This body type is symmetrical from top to bottom, looking almost athletic. Your shoulders, bust, waist and hips are of the same size.

Finding clothes that fit you is much easier but since your body lacks clear definition like that of an hourglass body, you should wear clothes that give the illusion of curves where there’s none.

Wear well-fitting dresses and accessorize with belts. The better if they are knee-length so you can show off your well-toned legs. Avoid baggy clothes and crop tops since they make you look slimmer and taller.
