The Ultra-Convenient Ways To Lose Weight That Could Help You Stick To Your New Year’s Resolution

Reviews · January 5, 2018

Have you decided that 2018 will be the year you get the body you want? Weight loss is something countless men and women set about working towards every new year but, unfortunately, for every success story, there are a lot of people who give up.

There are a lot of reasons why this happens, but one that a lot of busy people cite is that they simply don’t have time to pay that much attention to what they are eating – particularly if they are following a diet that requires them to prepare more food than usual or meticulously weigh and measure portions.

A Diet That Fits Your Lifestyle is Key

Most weight loss experts will tell you that a weight loss plan should never be a short-term thing you endure until you reach your target weight and then cast aside. A good diet is one that trains you to think differently about food, so while you may not have to be as strict when you are maintaining a weight rather than losing, you won’t even want to go back to the habits that caused you to gain weight in the first place.

This means that your way of eating while you lose weight needs to be compatible with your lifestyle for the long haul. Convenience can be a big part of this if you don’t have the time to be cooking lots of healthy meals every day or prepping ingredients for homemade smoothies long term. Happily, there are a couple of tried and tested weight loss approaches that actually make losing weight even more convenient in terms of time than what you were probably eating before your diet!

Meal Replacements

Meal replacements, such as shakes or bars, are not a new concept. However, the latest generations of these also sometimes contain supplements that help curb hunger and boost your energy. You can find some great reviews to help you choose a good meal replacement at weightlossshakes.com.

Meal replacements give you the minimum calories and nutrition you need, but you don’t have to take the time to prepare or even eat breakfast or lunch – you just have your shake. What could be easier than that?

Intermittent Fasting

Actually, there is one thing even easier than replacing two meals a day with shakes – skipping them altogether. This is a weight loss approach called intermittent fasting, where people fast for (for example) 18 hours a day (some of which is while sleeping) and then consume all their calories during the remaining six hours. For some, a 23-hour fast followed by one big meal every day works really well, as you don’t have to think about, shop for or cook food more than once per day! It may sound odd, but intermittent fasting is used by lots of people, including athletes and bodybuilders – partly because of the health benefits and partly because of the convenience.

You soon get used to the eating pattern and don’t feel hungry during your fasts, and unlike most diets, you get to have a big feast every day that includes all of your calorie allowance!

As you can see, dieting can actually add convenience to your life rather than complicate your routine, if you pick the right approach.

My Review/Thoughts~

I love pretzels! What I love the most are soft, warm pretzels and that is what I got when I went to the Philly Pretzel Factory. The staff was so very pleasant and accommodating. When  I told them what I wanted, They asked if I wanted to wait a minute as they were just coming out of the oven or take the ones in the case. Standing there for that minute, I could not beleive just how many of their products were flying out of their showcase. Between the drive thru and customers walking into the store to make their purchases, I was impressed just how fresh their products were whenever you placed your order. Even by the time we got home, The items were still very fresh and delicious.

I ordered a bunch of different items such as their Real Pretzel, The Mini Pretzel, The Pretzel Dog(my fav), The Pretzel Cheessteak, The Pepperoni Pretzel Melt, The Rivel Shaker and The Cinnamon Pretzel Twist. We also choose some extra dipping sauces and a few drinks. I was also surprised a the party trays they offered. Something for everyone! I know what I am going to get for my next party!

I highly suggest finding a Philly Pretzel Factory near you and giving them a try. You can find a location near you by going HERE. I can guarantee that you will not be sorry.

Alternative Bachelorette Party Ideas

Reviews · January 3, 2018

Arranging a wedding can take months of preparation and a lot of thought. You probably have a good idea of what you want and how you want to decorate the church and hall. As well as all of this, your bridesmaids will be hard at work trying to organize your bachelorette party. Traditional parties usually involve going out to bars or clubs to dance and generally have fun. However, a night of heavy drinking isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and there are many other ways you can do to celebrate your final days as a single person.

Try Something Sporty

If the bride to be is into sports, then why not arrange something that will allow them to express their sporty side? You can start by visiting a sports bar to have a few drinks and get in the sports mood, followed by tickets to their favorite sports game. If you are lucky, you might be able to coincide it with a major event such as an end of season game or a cup match. Whatever way you organize it, they will be thrilled with the effort you put into it. To kick it up a notch, have everyone in the wedding party dress up in team colors.

What About a Festival?

Are you always traveling to festivals or dancing to your favorite songs? Then why not arrange their bachelorette party at a festival weekend? There is no reason why you cannot stretch your party over a whole weekend, and it will allow you to make some amazing memories. You can choose an event that they have always wanted to attend, or you can select one that they have loved before. To complete the secret, you should arrange for someone to pack them a bag and sleeping equipment.

Have an Adventurous Party

For those bachelorettes that love an adventure, you could organize an outdoor activity. There are many things you can do that can take just a day or a weekend. Why not drive to a local, national park to trek through some of the outstanding natural beauty. Another idea if there is somewhere nearby, is to find some good skiing resorts. You can usually hire the equipment, so you won’t have to take much with you, just a change of clothes. If you are short of time, you could always go to an outdoor pursuit center. There you can try treetop assault courses, zip wires, and other fun activities.

Test Your Minds

Just because you are planning a bachelorette party, it doesn’t mean you can’t have some brain-teasing fun. Many cities now have activities that you can do as a group such as the Indianapolis Escape Room. These companies have designed real-world puzzles that you need to solve to escape. There are normally many different puzzles and scenarios to choose from, so you can all decide which one you want to do. Some cities also hold treasure hunt events and mystery tours that can give you interesting insights into the local history.

Try a Day of Gaming

For the people that love gaming, why not treat your friend to a day of fun and excitement immersed in gameplay? You can take them to a friend’s home, or you can go to a local gaming and arcade center. If you prefer to spend the time at home, then why not encourage your other friends that couldn’t come to join you online? That way, you can all play together and have a chat together at the same time. You could even get a virtual reality headset and try out some VR games as well.

The Need for Speed

For the petrol heads, there are many driving experiences that you can sign up to all over the country. They offer the opportunity to drive several different cars over the course of a day. These events are normally held at a local racing circuit that you can drive around with an instructor. Depending on the package you buy, you can drive different types of cars and vehicles. It will be an amazing experience for anyone who loves cars not only for the driving but being among all the atmosphere and exotic cars.

Go to Another Country

If you have a good budget, you could always take the bride to be to another country for a short break. It could be that you decide to go somewhere cold for skiing and sledding, or you can choose somewhere hot for a relaxing time on the beach. Longer parties are becoming more popular now as people try to get the most fun out of the event. You can organize some excursions before you travel, or you can just wing it and see what you fancy doing when you’re there. You might be able to coincide your trip with meeting up with old friends who live nearby. It will be a great opportunity to catch up while also having some bachelorette fun.

Have a Cinema Day

If you want to catch up on some good movies, but you don’t want to sit at home, then why not organize a movie day at the cinema? You can get group tickets for some of the latest films and take the party to a movie fest. If you have to wait for a while in between movies, it can be the best time to grab a bite to eat or have a drink to keep you in the party mood. Some movie theaters offer the opportunity for you to hire the entire auditorium so if you have a lot of people going to the party, you can have the place to yourselves.

Or Just Relax

You don’t have to choose anything energetic to be alternative, just a lovely picnic in the local park with your friends. Of course, it’s best when the weather is nice, so you may need to plan it in advance or have a plan B.

When it comes to thinking of good ideas for a bachelorette party, you only need to think of something they will enjoy, but may not always get the opportunity to do every day.

What to buy in The Netherlands

Reviews · January 2, 2018

Some people say the Netherlands is one place that is a
must-visit in a lifetime. While that may not be totally true for everyone, the Netherlands has so much to offer, it is such a compelling option to include the list of anticipated vacation destinations. From the beaches surrounding the Dutch coast, to the museum filled with the rich cultural heritage of the Dutch, as well as the laid-back welcoming nature of its people; the Netherlands has an assembly of novel experiences on offer.

If you are not too sure of the treats the Netherlands proffers, you could consider the opportunity to visit the sprawling architecture in Amsterdam or Rotterdam; the van Gogh museum which houses the art of famous painter, Vincent Van Gogh; having a taste of judiciary, by visiting The Hague, home to the International Criminal Court, as well as other international courts and the seat of government in the country, and Efteling – dreamlike theme park containing fairytale creatures like elves and dwarves; not only is the Netherlands an appealing place to go to, you probably wouldn’t be able to have your fill in one visit.

If you have an avid traveler cum shopper, you wouldn’t want to go visit this beautiful country, without contemplating what you would bring back as a souvenir. In this guide, we would provide you some suggestions you could consider which would help to relive your visit to the Netherlands.

  1. Dutch porcelain

Fondly known as Delftware, the Dutch porcelains comes in varying sizes, brands and colors. You can purchase the porcelain in the shapes of mugs, plates, vases, bottles etc. The different colors available include plain white, white mixed with blue, other deepened colors etc., and as well you would be able to sample some that are inspired by Chinese porcelain.

  1. Dutch Clogs

If you are hoping to stand out while taking a walk with the dog, and you want the origin of the distinction quickly identified, then you should look no further than the Dutch clogs. Having a lengthy background, the clogs have been a part of the Dutch heritage for more than 500 years. Also known as wooden shoes, the clogs were used in the earlier times by the those involved in menial labor – fishermen, farmers, housekeepers, etc., and in some cases, are still in use today.

However, modern day clogs are much more beautifully carved and made in unique designs – which denote the signature of the makers, and are also created with those who visit the Netherlands for tourism, in mind. You can identify the clogs by the clicking sound they make on impact with concrete.

  1. The Van Gogh Museum

What would a visit to the Netherlands look like without a visit to the Van Gogh Museum? As described earlier, the Van Gogh Museum hosts art and memoirs of famous painter, Vincent Van Gogh. So if you are impressionably into the arts, you would want to visit the museum. While taking a tour, you could purchase items like custom prints of his artwork, jewelries with inspirational quotes written on them, wallpapers, postcards, canvases and other items wistfully linked to the painter.

You can also place orders at the online shop, and have these delivered to your place of choice.

  1. Chocolate, Cheese, Cookies and all in between

If your roulette strategy is going down the diner, then you would want to sample some of the delicacies the Dutch has to offer. From chocolate to cheese to cookies, the Dutch make one of the finest with distinct flavors, harvested from different farms and refined in different locations. If you are vacationing in Amsterdam, you can visit places like the Amsterdam Cheese Company, Henri Willig Cheese Store for products from Henri Willig cheese dairies, or the specialty retail chocolate shop, Chocolatl for fine chocolate.

  1. Souvenirs depicting the Dutch windmill

The windmill is intricately linked with the heritage of the people. Most of the lands available in the Netherlands are those beneath the sea level, or acquired from former lakes. The windmills, some which have been standing for more than 500 years, were used to provide some form of drainage system to the land in order to keep it dry and habitable. As time went by, there were other purposes found for the windmills, most tied to industrial objectives. Lots of the windmills were used to enable the timber and paper industry, and used to generate electricity.

The image of the windmills are used in different designs. You can purchase miniature windmill for decorative purposes, keychains or keyrings attached to little windmills, china porcelain designed with windmill drawings, art with beautiful drawings of windmills on them; there are an extensive range to select from.

  1. Refrigerator Magnets

If you are an history enthusiast, you would know that the Dutch are famous for their production and importation of beer. From Heineken to Grolsch, and Bavaria, you would have an assortment from different brands to take your pick.

Knowing that some visitors, especially the kids, would not be into beers, we would not go into that.

What better way to bring up the visit to the Netherlands, than having refrigerator magnets help provide reminders on your fridge? The magnets come in different sizes, shapes and colors, and provide an attractive distraction on refrigerators. You can have your reminders written on them, or use them to stick these up on the fridge.

I hope with the above information I have been able to instill your interest and desire to visit the Netherlands. If you do visit, you might find that going to the Netherlands shouldn’t be just a once in a lifetime experience.
