How I Reduce My Stress With Plays.org

Reviews · August 12, 2023

All opinion and thoughts for this post are 100% my own.

Everyone I know has stress but what kind of stress and to what degree of stress is a question that only you can answer. I have anxiety. My anxiety level can be through the roof at times. I practice a lot of different things such as meditation, practicing mindfulness and the most important is distracting myself. I distract myself by playing hidden object games.

I found a site that has it all. It is a site that the whole family can play. This is is called plays.org. They have my hidden object games which they add more games daily which I think is awesome. They also add games daily for the other categories which by the way is over 100+. Like I said they have it all.

I stared playing games from a free generic site but then I progressed to this site that you don’t have to watch ads or pay a fee. You also don’t have to download anything so that saves space on your computer.  It doesn’t matter if you are 8 or 80, you’ll find some games you like on our site. Younger players may like some of our cartoon games while senior citizens may prefer our Solitaire or Mahjong games.

Find The Cat has to be my favorite hidden object game to play on the plays.org site.  This is an audio-based missing object finding game. Listen closely to the meowing the cat makes in the woods to find the hidden kitten. meOW! It is a fun game. distracting myself by playing these games really helps decrease my stress level.

My kids just love the sesame street games. I played it once and found it to be really funny and educational. I really am glad that my kids love the site as much as I do. Not only do they have sesame street but tons of other games that are educational for them to learn different skills.

This is a site that you really need to check out. I love everything about this site. They  offer players thousands of free online games across hundreds of categories. All games in our collection are unblocked free HTML games which you can play directly in your web browser with no app downloads.

Effective Ways to Remain Healthy

Reviews · September 24, 2019

Life can present challenges both mentally and physically. However, if you take care of your body and mind, you improve the odds of sustaining a healthy and fruitful life.

Get Enough Sleep

If you currently have young children at home, you know all about long nights and the lack of sleep. You also know how you feel the following morning  — groggy and in a fog. When you deprive your body of sleep often, you lose the ability to function properly. You can’t concentrate, you become forgetful and you basically go through the day in a haze. Unfortunately, when you drive a car under these conditions, you may not see a bad driver, until it’s too late. Under normal circumstances, you would avoid the accident, but today is not a normal day. The good news is that your injuries while substantial will heel over time. And, there are law firms who can help you seek retribution for your injuries, click here for more information.

Move Your Body

Your body is a wonderful machine that lets you do the things you love. However, if you neglect it, it will begin to show signs of a breakdown. In order to maintain a lean muscle mass and a healthy weight, you need to exercise at least 3 to 4 times weekly. You can join a gym, swim, ride your bike or take a morning jog. In addition to physical exercise, it’s also important to keep your body in motion. When you run errands, park the car a little further away from the entrance and then instead of moping along, pick up the pace and move quickly. By doing this you’ll burn extra calories and re-energize your body and mind.

Maintain a Healthy Weight

While exercise will keep your body mass lean and strong, it won’t reduce your weight unless you combine your workout with a healthy diet. Just as when you were younger, the food pyramid still holds true. Eat your fruits and vegetables, lean meats, fish, eggs, whole grains and healthy fats. If you feel hungry during the day grab an apple instead of the candy bar. This way, instead of getting a jolt of energy and then the crash, you’ll have the energy to last throughout the day.

Processed foods are high in unhealthy fats, salts, and sugar, all of which are bad. And, if you consume them on a daily basis, it’s not long before you develop pockets of fat and start to have medical problems. Obesity is dangerous. And, a part of the problem is that fast-food restaurants have over-sized portions. When preparing meals at home, weigh the portions first so that you know the exact amount of calories you consume. It won’t be long before you notice the number on the bathroom scale going in the opposite direction.

More Water Please

Water is something your body needs every day. While you can get some of it through other beverages, it’s not anywhere near the amount you require. Water does so many good things like assisting with bowel movements, liver and kidney functions, circulation and your saliva. It also keeps you hydrated, important during an intense workout or if you are out in the elements. A great way to make sure you get the right amount is to use a travel bottle and refill it 4 or 5 times daily.

De-Stress

For many people, life is very hectic. They barely have a minute to themselves. If this sounds like you, it’s time to reclaim your life and de-stress. No one person can do it all for any length of time without having a mental breakdown. Learn how to delegate duties at work and home and start doing something that makes you happy. Even, if you only take a half-hour each day to catch up on your favorite television series, it will help to relax you.

You have the opportunity to experience a happy and healthy life. All you have to do is modify your current habits and incorporate new healthier ways to live.

Learn How To Maintain Your Mental and Physical Health With These Tips

Reviews · September 6, 2018

Your mental and physical wellbeing are both important aspects of maintaining your overall health. You cannot have one without the other, as a physically fit body but a constantly anxious mind can still lead to other problems down the line. Thus, all of the life choices that you make must consider these factors. It all starts with your mindset, and how you view the world around you. You can learn how to meditate, eat properly, follow a fitness routine, reduce stress, choose healthier habits, and even sleep more. Remember that it is not enough to choose one or two habits and hope that you will be set up for a healthy and happy life. Follow all of the tips mentioned below, and you can be well on your way to an optimal lifestyle routine.

Glass half-full mentality

What emotion first dominates your reaction to a negative event? Are you angry and depressed, and remain that way for long periods of time? Or, do you look for the positive aspects of the situation? This is important in determining whether you are an optimistic or glass-half-full type of person. You cannot control what happens around you, but you can always change how you react to particular situations. Maintaining a light-hearted attitude, and waking up with a smile on your face will determine the outcome of your entire day, and the type of life you lead on a larger scale. Those around you will be affected by your mood, as will your work and everything else that you do. You will even start to suffer the physical effects of pessimism, as your strength will depreciate, and various other health problems will arise. Do not let it get to this point.

Meditate

Meditation is not the typical way to look after your health, as it is more holistic in nature. That being said, it takes into account your mental, physical as well as spiritual wellbeing, in a way that nothing else does. There are so many online guides that teach you how to properly meditate, and the fact that you can do it from the comforts of your home make it a practical option for many to start adopting. It’s a matter of taking control over your breathing and focusing on your present, thereby helping improve your happiness.

Nutritious and balanced diet

Food is fuel, which you need to survive. However, depending on the type of food you choose, your life can drastically change. Fast food options will increase the likelihood that you face health problems, similarly to eating food high in sugar. Instead, you need to eat balanced and nutritious meals. Think more about fruit and vegetables, and less about ice cream and pizza! You will find your mental sharpness increase every day, as well as even your mood and body.

Fitness routine

Eating well and doing the proper exercises go hand in hand. With so many fitness routine options available, there is something for everyone. Keep in mind that working out releases endorphins in the brain, also known as the feel-good chemical. Plus, you can see the benefits of continuous exercises when it comes to your stamina and overall figure.

Reduce stress

Stress is a six-letter word that takes up too much time in some people’s lives. Similar to everything else, you must learn how to properly respond to it and deal with it, and thus relax in the process. You can do this by following the various points already mentioned throughout the article, and doing so sooner rather than later. Keep in mind that increased levels of both anxiety and stress can lead to depression. Both your physique and mental wellbeing will decline to the point where it will take much longer to recuperate.

Choose healthier habits

Your everyday habits can make or break your health, both physically and mentally. The first two that often come to mind are smoking and alcohol, both of which reduce your ability to live your best life possible. There are always alternative options available, and you must thus make a point of choosing them. When it comes to alcohol, if you have an addiction, professional help will be required, but you can also drink non-alcoholic drinks when in social settings, instead. Today’s smokers are also choosing the healthier option, also known as vaping. Vaping does not include the various chemicals that come with cigarettes, and you can instead choose the level of nicotine that you smoke, up to the point where you can opt for a zero percentage, leaving only the oral aspect of a cigarette, water vapor and flavoring. You will need to purchase the right vape from the right store, with a key example being the various options available through Blazed Vapes. There are so many vaping experiences to choose from, so you are bound to find one that suits you, while your body and mind will thank you for making the right choices.

Sleep more

Establishing a good sleeping routine takes some time depending on the person. Keep in mind that as an adult you need a minimum of 7-8 hours of snooze time every single night in order for your mind to be sharp and your body to be well rested. Consider going to bed at the same time every single day and waking up on time, even on the weekend. You will eventually get to a point where you will not even think twice about your sleep schedule.

You must ensure that you follow all of these tips if you hope to maintain an overall healthy lifestyle. It isn’t enough to eat a balanced diet if you are not sleeping enough or working on your physique. All of these various elements work together and help make sure that you will not have problems as you age. It is inevitable that your health will suffer in retirement more than it did in your youth, but you can do everything possible to eliminate the level by which you are affected. Moreover, all of your health conscious lifestyle choices should not come to a halt, at any point. A lot of keeping fit in old age relates to looking after your mental wellbeing. The point has been made; it is now up to you to make the appropriate changes to your life.

Reasons To Use Crossfit To Reduce Your Stress Levels

Reviews · August 24, 2018

Everyone will get stressed from time to time; it’s a natural part of being alive! There will always be situations that induce a level of worry and concern, and in most cases that is a good thing. Having small amounts of stress and the hormones that it produces (such as cortisol) in our bodies means that we can be more alert, and ready for anything. It can push us to do better, to hit deadlines, to ensure that we are working at our best. In most cases, that stress won’t last for long, and once the ‘danger’ is passed, your body and mind will return to normal.

For some people, however, that is not the case. For these people, stress is a chronic condition, and it never goes away. This is when stress becomes a problem because suffering with it long term can affect both the body and the mind. Mental health can be affected, blood pressure is raised, the heart can have problems, and you will feel terrible in general. Using exercise such as CrossFit to reduce your stress is important: here is why.

Acne

You may have hoped you left acne and skin conditions behind in your teens, but when you are stressed you may find that you have breakouts, no matter how old you are. It is a visible sign that you are stressed, and can be a good cue for you to seek help and find ways (including CrossFit) to reduce your stress levels.

Acne most usually occurs when you are stressed because you will be touching your face more. This is a comforting action, and you may not even realize you are doing it, but although it may comfort your mind, it can also spread bacteria to your skin, and this is a contributing factor for acne.

It isn’t just the constant touching that causes problems either. Studies have shown that hormone level changes can have a physical impact on your body, including your skin. The more stressed you are, the more cortisol is in your body, and this reduces the amount of serotonin. Serotonin helps to regulate the condition of your skin and hair, so it should be no surprise that you develop acne when that regulation is lessened.

Hair Loss

If you have noticed that there is a lot more hair in your brush each morning, or that it seems to be falling out whenever you touch it, or even if you spot a growing bald patch (in both men and women), then stress could well be the contributing factor. You can read more here about this and other reasons for hair loss.

Hair loss due to stress could be due to an increase in adrenalin, which is something that certainly happens when you are suffering from stress. That adrenalin will become cholesterol if it is not used (which it won’t be because you are making too much of it), and too much cholesterol will increase your body’s testosterone levels. This is what contributes to your hair falling out as it can impact how (and even if) your hair grows.

As well as this, stress can often mean that we don’t necessarily take care of ourselves in the way that we should. Skipping meals or eating a lot of processed foods can certainly have an impact on our overall health, and could indeed mean that we lose more hair as a result.

Headaches

Another reason to exercise and de-stress as much as possible is that stress causes headaches, and these headaches can (depending on their severity) be completely debilitating, resulting in many days of lost work or school. A stress headache presents in the forehead and extends to the back of the head and can extend down to the neck and even shoulders, causing generalized pain.

Chronic Pain

If you’ve ever woken up in the morning and felt a twinge of pain or an ache that wasn’t there when you went to bed, what have you thought? Did you assume that you had slept in a strange position and your body was suffering because of it? It seems a likely reason, and in some cases, it will be the truth. However, in others, it could be down to stress. Stress results in chronic pain over time, and this can mean that your mobility is severely restricted if nothing is done.

Studies are still ongoing as to the exact relation between stress and pain, but it does seem that there is a link and that reducing your stress levels can reduce the amount of pain you are feeling assuming there are no underlying medical issues that are contributing such as injuries or general aging.

Constant Colds

Constantly feeling as though you have a cold is another sign of being stressed. This is because chronic stress levels can have a negative impact on your immune system, lowering its defenses and allowing all kinds of bugs to attack your body which, if it had been functioning correctly, would never have been allowed to affect you. Although you may not feel like attending a CrossFit class when you’re suffering from a cold, exercise is a known stress reliever, and alleviating your stress levels can help you in so many different ways that it is worth trying to see how you feel afterward.

Insomnia

Lack of sleep is something that no human can stand for long. Not being able to sleep means decreased productivity and concentration levels the next day, which, if it goes on for a long time, can seriously affect your work and home life in a negative way. However, it is not just this practical side of things that is a problem when it comes to insomnia, which is another symptom of stress. Not getting enough sleep means that the body never gets a chance to fully heal itself, and that can result in other long-term ailments such as type II diabetes, heart disease, depression, high blood pressure, some forms of cancer, and obesity.
