My Review/Thoughts~

My husband has been wearing Lugz shoes ever since the days when he worked at a carpet cleaning service where the chemicals they used would eat through his boots. That was until he tried Lugz. Since then, he will not wear another brand. Eric knows that he is not to use or wear a product that I receive as a review item until I take a picture of it. When he consistently asks if I took a picture of the boots, I know he is over the moon in love with Lugz Men’s Folsom 6-Inch Boot already. I took the picture. I think someday that Eric just might be a blog reviewer very soon. He would not so saying how these had to be the most comfortable boots that he ever worn. How sleek and stylish they looked. How soft the leather is. He also stated that it felt like he was walking on a cloud.

In 2015, Eric and Cindy Noel disembarked from a Carnival cruise ship in Belize City. They were quickly whisked through a chain-link gate onto a waiting bus to take them to Al-tun-ha, a spectacular display of ancient Mayan civilization. On the way, they noticed impoverished villages, roads, schools, and shops in what most would consider to be in disrepair and realized that life brought many challenges to these villagers…they knew in some way, some day, they would return.

With their background in agriculture and food preparation, Eric and Cindy returned from this trip and began focusing on raising funds to return in 2017 – which they did – for 40 days in fact! Seeking remote villages to work with farmers, families and schools, Eric and Cindy have begun to build strong, fruitful and tremendously rewarding relationships. Backyard garden projects, community gardens at primary schools, food preparation and preservation training, developing seed banks, providing educational sponsorships, providing seeds and equipment for increased crop production and processing and micro-financing loans for small business start-ups are just some of the projects that are underway.

My Review/Thoughts~

I love freshly ground spices. There is nothing better than to be able to do this at the dinner table. To add another layer of freshly ground spices right before you eat it makes the flavors of the dish out of this world. One thing about the Maya Mountain Salt and Pepper Mill is that is salt and pepper both in one container that grinds them both as needed and how much you need. I decided to make a recipe from the Mealthy smart phone app. I chose to make Beef Stew. It is the perfect time of the year for it.

I will never make Beef Stew any other way. The broth was not to thick. It was just right. The flavors were perfect. Everything about this dish was perfect. My husband who is very picky ate most of the stew. I was lucky to get a few bowls.

Staycationing has never been more popular in the UK with over half of Brits planning holidays in their home country each year. This desire to get to know our own backyards has gone hand-in-hand with the rebirth of caravanning. And it’s easy to see why. It’s the joy of retreating to rural settings with the luxury of home comforts.

It’s the pleasure of getting the family together in one place. It’s the sense of freedom you don’t get with other holidays.

NCC approval

The majority of caravans sold in the UK will be approved by the National Caravan Council (NCC), which is the official industry trade body. The NCC also operates certification schemes for other potentially dangerous components of the caravan: gas installations, water systems, emergency exits and tyres. It’s always worth conducting your own independent checks but any vehicle that carries an NCC badge will have been subjected to rigorous examination to ensure all of these aspects are up to spec.

Size and weight

How many people does your caravan need to sleep? You might think you need four berths for a family of four but there are other ways to create enough space for everyone.

Your caravan choice will naturally be influenced by the towing capacity of your current vehicle. You can divide your car’s kerbweight by 100 and multiply it by 85 to find the upper limit of its comfortable towing weight.

It’s especially important to consider the practicalities of layout. If you’re likely to be staying in places with good on-site facilities, you can afford to cut back on interior vehicle space dedicated to bathroom and kitchen areas.

Once you’ve chosen your vehicle, you have to work out how you’re going to pay for it. Bear in mind that as well as the initial outlay of purchasing the caravan itself, you’ll also have to shell out for additional running costs: insurance, road tax, MOTs, servicing.
