The Christmas Chronicles on @Netflix November 22 #TheChristmasChronicles, #ad #rwm

Reviews · November 20, 2018

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Review Wire Media for Netflix.

Christmas movies are all the rage in my home. During this time of the year, These type of movies are all we watch. I really think an action holiday movie helps to put us in the holiday mood~

The Christmas Chronicles is a wishful, hilarious, family festive adventure. This is our first live action family film with a well established director and big profile actor in Kurt Russell. From producer Chris Columbus (“Home Alone”, “Harry Potter”) and director Clay Kaytis (“The Angry Birds Movie”), The Christmas Chronicles, tells the story of sister and brother, Kate (Darby Camp) and Teddy Pierce (Judah Lewis), whose Christmas Eve plan to catch Santa Claus (Kurt Russell) on camera turns into an unexpected journey that most kids could only dream about. After staking out Santa’s arrival, they sneak into his sleigh, cause it to crash and nearly derail Christmas. As their wild night unfolds, Kate and Teddy work together with Santa – as you’ve never seen him before – and his loyal Elves to save Christmas before it’s too late. The Christmas Chronicles premieres on Netflix, November 22, 2018!

I  consider myself very lucky in that I was able to view this trailer of The Christmas Chronicles. This trailer has over  340,000+ views. So, They must be doing something right. I am such a huge Kurt Russell fan! I hope you will join me in watching The Christmas Chronicles on November 22nd.

The Common Misconceptions Of Getting Old

Reviews · November 20, 2018

Every single day our bodies get just a little weaker and our natural time is shortened. Our mind begins to slow and there’s no way of stopping this either. No need to fret, it’s happening to everyone so we all have to face our own mortality sometime. This is the stark obvious but it has to be reminded to us just so we don’t fall for the traps of anxiety and thelike a community will not set in. There are many things about getting old that we are told will happen or that has happened and thus we picture our lives like the stories we’ve heard. The rumors of when you get old you will have to live on a small amount of money each month, that your personal freedom is taken from you, that your privacy is almost nonexistent and that where you can retire will be a gloomy dark place. It’s strange, we don’t have a fear of these things until we see ourselves coming to the age that we will need to consider retiring. Then all of sudden we allow our imaginations to run wild. Here are some of the most common things we get wrong about getting old and why we shouldn’t worry over nothing.

Living on a pittance

The usual worry for many is that when they are old and can no longer work, they will have to live on nothing more than an average or lower pension. That can be true and also untrue, it all depends on how much you paid into your state pension fund. This is of course something you should be doing throughout your lifetime so you have more than enough money coming from your fund when you retire. However, what you should be doing is setting up a savings account. Don’t touch your money that you pour into for a long time and you will rack up your interest rate and profit from the fund. You also have much more control of how much you can take out per month which is a contrast to the state pension fund which will have a fixed monthly withdrawal rate.

It’s a retirement community

The constant image that runs through people’s mind when they think of an ‘old people’s home’ is a grey building with dull interiors, where people are getting old and not having much fun. This is something that has never really been true as many retirement living businesses would like to attract as many customers as possible so they make their homes desirable. For example, the 55 and older communities in Australia are a prime example of what kind of living standards there are on offer once you are retired. They’re more like a community, a small village that looks after each other and a sense of belonging is abundant. Here you can do many activities such as going to the beach, learning yoga, playing board games, or even going to concerts.

There are many misconceptions about what it’s like to get old. If you plan your own retirement financially, you can live quite happily with your pension and personal savings.

Gift Ideas for Someone Who Needs to Let Their Hair Down

The festive season is fast approaching and if you haven’t started planning gifts for your loved ones, then now is the time to get started! Sure, it may seem a little early on. But trust us, getting started sooner rather than later can save you a whole lot of stress, time, and money. Creating a list of all of the people you intend to buy for, alongside ideas of what to purchase for them, means that you can start shopping early. This allows you to keep an eye out for sales, special offers, and deals. It also means that you can purchase goods before they sell out in the Christmas rush! Now, many of us can struggle when it comes to choosing the perfect gift for people. But a good concept to follow is buying people something that they will thoroughly enjoy, but that they might not purchase for themselves. This means that they gain a real treat or can indulge in a novelty rather than a necessity for once! If you have someone on your list who is a real workaholic and who never stops to take a moment for themselves, here are a few perfect gift ideas that could bring a genuine smile to their face!

A Spa Gift Basket

Busy people with hectic schedules could definitely benefit from a spa day. But it will probably prove awkward booking a day at the spa for them. Their calendar might not have any free spots for the foreseeable future and you’d probably have to ruin the surprise in order to find out when they will and will not be free. Instead, why not allow them to pamper themselves at home with a deluxe spa gift basket. This will give them everything that they need to have a comforting self-care night in in the comfort of their own home. From products to use on their hair and skin to a relaxing candle that can be lit to create a calm and soothing atmosphere!

An App Subscription

Never underestimate the benefits of meditation and mindfulness. When practiced properly, they can provide even the most stressed and busy individual with a few moment of calm and relaxation on a daily basis. The problem? Busy people don’t tend to want to commit an evening of their week to attending a meditation or mindfulness class. Your gift could provide them with the perfect solution to this! There are plenty of apps out there that can be used to learn meditation and mindfulness wherever the user may be – whether they are at home before or after work, taking their lunch break in a quiet room, or elsewhere. Perhaps the most popular app subscription service in this area is offered by “Headspace”. It will guide the person you are gifting through every step of the process, releasing stress and comforting them as they go along.

These are just a couple of different gift ideas for the stressed and overwhelmed person on your Christmas gift list. They could prove an absolute hit!

Planning Ahead: Three Things To Think About As You Get Older

Reviews · November 19, 2018

As another birthday, Christmas celebration, and New Year’s day comes around on the calendar; it is getting every closer towards to the wonderful day when you get to retire and enjoy your later years in comfort and maybe even a little bit of luxury. After a whole lifetime of hard work, you will be looking forward to the chance to put your feet up and really enjoy the time you now have to yourself and your family. With this being said, there is still a lot to think about before this day can come as retirement does require some planning. To give you a helping hand, this quick and easy guide will go through three simple ways you can plan ahead for your retirement.

Life after the nine to five

After working at your job for a number of years and maybe even building a nice career for yourself, you will be ready for a rest. Even if you love your job, being able to have a lie in and enjoy the day is precisely why you have done all this work and saved up all these years. A question that many people around your age will be asking themselves is, “How much do I need to retire?” The answer to this can be found through talking to the professionals at Retiring Right, who can assess your personal situation to find out exactly what money you need to retire from full-time work when and where you want to.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Of course, one of the biggest things about retirement that makes it so great is that you will no longer have a job tying you to the current place where you love. For perhaps the first time in your life, you now have complete freedom to choose where you want to go and live out your days. If you’re really not sure where this may be then taking this quiz can help you to generate some interesting ideas to consider. For example, does a warmer climate entice you, or do you long for the hustle and bustle of the city?

Spending your time wisely

The last thing you need to give some serious thought to is how you are going to spend all the free time you now have, as you don’t want to waste this gift. A good idea is to write up a retirement bucket list you can work through with a partner or friend to ensure you’re staying social and enjoying life. Some ideas including taking a class to learn a foreign language, planting a garden with all your favorite flowers and fruit in, or even starting up a new fitness routine to take care of yourself. If there has always been something you have wanted to do but never had to time or the opportunity, consider retirement your green light.

Retirement is a wonderful time in your life that cannot be slept on. Make the most of it by planning ahead and giving this time of your life some thought.

Hartz Cat And Dog Toys #Review #HGG18 @HartzPets

2018 Holiday Gift Guide, Pets, Reviews · November 17, 2018

I received the below mentioned complimentary product either for free or a discounted price for the purpose of this post. All opinions are 100% my own.

My pets mean the world to me. They are part of my family and I treat them like family. There is always a toy on the floor to play with and yes that means stepping on a few but that’s o.k. too. I was thrilled when the opportunity came about to review Hartz Cat and Dog toys for my 2018 Holiday Gift Guide.

My Thoughts/Review~

I do not think I have seen anything cuter than My pets playing with their toys. Hartz sent an awesome package filled with some of their now favorite toys. They loved every single one of them. What will they come up with next. A toy where you put a treat in and even a toy that they think is a mouse. How cute is that? I like I always say- My pets are my family and I treat them like family.

I give this my thumbs up and my highest recommendation. I know you will too.
